Candidate Portal Terms
Terms for candidates using the STERK Platform during recruitment, compensation review, and onboarding preparation.

These Candidate Portal Terms apply when you use the STERK Platform as a candidate, applicant, or invited worker candidate. They explain how the recruitment platform may be used and what you can expect before any employment or placement agreement is signed.
These terms do not replace a signed employment contract, placement confirmation, collective agreement, or staff handbook. If you later become a STERK worker, those worker documents will apply in addition to these terms.
1. STERK
The platform is provided by Sp/F STERK, VAT 662771, Vestara Bryggja 15, 3rd floor, 100 Tórshavn, Faroe Islands. You can contact us at sterk@sterk.fo or +298 54 04 04.
2. Use of the candidate portal
You may use the candidate portal to:
- + Create and manage your candidate profile.
- + Apply for roles, upload documents, and complete recruitment steps.
- + Review compensation previews, job information, and onboarding requests shared by STERK.
- + Communicate with STERK about your application and possible placement.
3. Your account responsibilities
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for using the platform only for your own recruitment process. You must not share access to your account, misuse platform data, attempt to access another person's information, or interfere with platform security.
If you believe your account has been accessed by someone else, contact STERK immediately.
4. Accuracy of information and documents
You must provide correct, complete, and up-to-date information. This includes your identity details, work history, certificates, passport or ID details, contact information, bank information, tax information, and any documents required for recruitment, travel, employment, payroll, insurance, or compliance.
STERK may pause or reject an application, withdraw an offer, or end access to the platform if information is false, misleading, incomplete, expired, or cannot be verified.
5. Recruitment, offers, and placements
Creating an account, applying for a role, receiving a salary preview, or completing onboarding preparation does not guarantee employment, placement, travel, housing, or a specific work schedule.
A placement is only confirmed when STERK has issued the relevant written confirmation and all required checks, documents, permits, client approvals, and internal approvals have been completed.
6. Compensation previews
Compensation previews are estimates prepared for recruitment discussion. They may include assumptions about hourly rate, working schedule, tax mode, deductions, pension, holiday pay, housing, travel, and insurance.
Final pay, deductions, benefits, pension, holiday pay, tax treatment, and working hours are governed by the applicable employment documents, collective agreement, payroll rules, tax rules, and the actual approved hours worked.
7. Personal data and privacy
STERK processes candidate data to manage recruitment, assess suitability, prepare onboarding, arrange work-related administration, and comply with legal obligations. More detail is available in our Privacy Policy.
8. Platform availability and beta status
The STERK Platform is currently in beta. Features may change, and access may occasionally be interrupted for maintenance, security, improvements, or operational reasons. STERK may correct or remove information that is inaccurate, outdated, duplicated, or shown in error.
9. Staff handbook and worker documents
The staff handbook and worker-specific policies are provided when they become relevant to your role, placement, or onboarding. You may be asked to acknowledge those documents separately before or after becoming a STERK worker.
10. Changes to these terms
STERK may update these Candidate Portal Terms when the platform, recruitment process, legal requirements, or operational needs change. The current version will be available at sterk.fo/candidate-terms.
